Get ready to slurp, sip, and support a great cause as Ryleigh’s Oyster celebrates the opening of prime Chesapeake Bay Oystering season for the 13th year in a row at this two-day food-and-entertainment festival hosted on E Cross Street in historic Federal Hill.
Oysterfest features dozens of carefully curated Tasting Tents, Raw Bars and Sponsorship displays, all chosen for their unique commitment to the appreciation and preservation of the bold Chesapeake oyster.
Among the foodiefied fare you will find #TrueBlue Marylad Crab Cakes, Fried Oysters, Grilled Oysters, Baltimore Style Pit Beef, Whole Smoked Live-Fire Fish and over 10 different varaities of raw oysters, including buck-a-shuck tasting tents with local oyster farmers!
Highlighting Ryleigh’s seafood-studded street festival is the 9th Annual Baltimore Oyster Shucking Championship, on Saturday at 330pm. Here festival-goers will witness the regions most skilled oyster-openers compete on the Cross Street Stage for the local title and over $1,000 in cash prizes.
